My Great Grandfather’s Influence
The Second World War changed the lives of millions of people, including my great-grandfather. At that time, the Soviet Union
and Mongolia were like brother countries, so he fought for the Soviet Union against Nazi Germany. During the Second World War, Mongolia supported the Soviet Union and helped fight against Nazi Germany. After the war, many soldiers came back and built a new life. My great-grandfather also returned and started working for the government. His story is very important for my family and for me. Because of his experience of the war, he got respect and a high position. This influenced our family life and my motivation.
The first effect of my great-grandfather's joining the war was that he got a promotion and respect. Because he fought bravely and followed discipline, the government trusted him very much. For example, after the war finished, he became the right hand of the Mongolian leader and commissioner. He also got many medals for his service. Another reason is that he always worked honestly and never broke the rules. For example, he was honored, and many people knew his name. The war helped him to gain a high position in society. Many Mongolian soldiers helped the Soviet army during the war.
After the war, my great-grandfather's war service gave my family a higher status and more opportunities. Because of his position, the government gave him two houses, and one was in a Mongolian elite town, which is known as an elite area where high-status people live. Only important people live there. For example, when people ask me where I live, I say I am from 40k, and they know my family’s status. Another reason is that his reputation has helped the next generation. For example, both ancestors also work in government and have good jobs. This makes our family life more stable and respected.
Finally, my great-grandfather's life was influencing my motivation and thinking. Because I have heard his story since I was a child, I want to be strong like him. For example, when I feel tired from studying, I think about how he fought in the war and worked for many years. My family often tells stories about his discipline and how he continued working in government until he was sixty-five years old. Another reason is that his success gives me confidence. For example, I know my family background is good, so I try harder to not waste my chance. His life always reminds me to work hard and not give up easily.
In conclusion, my great-grandfather's joining World War II changed his life and our family's future. Because of the war, he got a promotion, respect, houses, and a high status. Because of him, my family has a better education and a better future. His story also influenced my motivation and attitude. His life has not only changed my life, but it also reminds me every day to become a better and stronger person. I think his spirit will continue in our family for a long time. Maybe in the future, I can also become someone who makes my family proud like him.
